42 Dugg was born on November 25, 1994, in Detroit, Michigan, US. Dugg has a troubled teenage life. He dint attend his school regularly and was often found partying with his friends. He was even arrested and spent 6 years in jail.
However, the reason for arrest and imprisonment is not known. He even had a bad time in prison often fighting with other prisoners. But his life changed when he shifted his focus to music.

In order to get a change in his life, he used to listen to music and also showed lots of interest in creating music. When he was out of jail, he decided to pursue his career in the music industry.
He met the rapper, Lil Baby, in 2017. During this time he was working on many single including “The Streets” and “STFU”.
His life changed in 2018 when he met Lil Baby again. The rapper gave a good opportunity to sing for his label 4PF. Impressed by his song, Yo Gotti invited him and signed him to sing a song under his label Collective.
In the meantime dugg completed his graduation from the Legacy Christian Academy in 2017.
